Everything begins here. We cannot change anything until we become aware of it. When we become aware of the truth of our divine nature, or the beliefs we hold that block it, life opens up in ways we never imagined.
We don't give our power away. We own our inner life completely, our thoughts, our beliefs, our responses, because we know that is where all transformation begins.
|
Our outer world is a reflection of our inner world. Change your thinking, change your life, this is not a metaphor. It is spiritual law. |
We affirm one universal Presence, good, whole, and everywhere present. There is nowhere it is not. There is no one it excludes.
We are a community in motion. Everyone is unique and doing the best they can. All are welcome exactly where they are, and all are invited to grow.
Centers for Spiritual Living St. George was born from a dream. Shortly after arriving in Southern Utah, Practitioner Josie de Los Santos began gathering with local spiritual seekers and sharing her vision of bringing a CSL community to the red hills of St. George. A small circle of founding visionaries caught that dream and made it their own. With $5,000 donated by a local spiritual group, Josie launched a sacred circle study group, completed her ministerial training, and in 2016 was ordained as our founding Senior Minister. Her enthusiasm, determination, and faith built a foundation that holds us strong even today.
The years that followed brought growth, transition, and the particular grace that difficulty sometimes carries. Rev. Hannah Rothlin served as interim minister, leading hiking groups and nature gatherings alongside Sunday services. Rev. Laura Hallett deepened our roots through certified Science of Mind classes and practitioner training before being called to the head office in Colorado. Then the pandemic arrived. Held together by a dedicated Core Council, we moved online, gathered monthly in parks, and connected with beloved Science of Mind teachers from across the country. Community, as it turns out, cannot be quarantined.
A new search committee brought Rev. Joe Kovach to St. George in June of 2022, joined later by Assistant Minister Rev. Rachael Dilling. Today CSLSG gathers in person on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of each month at the St. George Masonic Lodge and streams online every week so no one has to miss a Sunday. We are seekers, teachers, practitioners, and friends, rooted in the red hills of Southern Utah and in the timeless philosophy of Ernest Holmes. We are just getting started.
